August 9th, 9am – 4pm Founders Day Community Event (Vendors, Parade, Live Band, Fun for the whole family)

Founders’ Day is a day-long event to celebrate Shingletown’s beginnings as a lumbering and shingle manufacturing community. The day includes a parade with floats, antique cars, motorcycles, local dignitaries, fire fighters, and community members. There will be a band for listening and dancing. The library grounds are covered with food vendors and craft vendors and local not-for-profit information and activities. The library will have a bake sale and probably a duck race. A good time is available to all from about 9 am to 4 pm.
